"Since, then you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But no you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator."
Colossians 4:1-10
Sin should not be a way of life for a Christian but an exception in your life if you are born-again. With Christ there is forgiveness. Get rid of anger, wrath, malice, slander, abusive language (profanity), lies and sexual immorality from your life. You have no need of these worldly things in your life when you have God in your life and are living for Him!
Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Rebuke things that the devil tries to instill in your mind. Clothe yourself with the full armor of God:
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning."
Psalm 30:5
God is able to do ALL things! Don't give up on God because He will not give up on you! He will keep His promises to you. While weeping may endure for a night, joy comes in the morning. Night is life at its worst (God's wrath). Morning is life at its best (God's grace, goodness and mercy). A person's life contains both night and mornings. The Christian life is not all one way but a mixture of both. We can and will endure through it all. Unfortunately making it through the night is a major problem for most of us. Stop focusing on the night and focus on the morning. We need to be able to cope with our nighttime experiences. Don't use alcohol, drugs, sex, etc. to cope with your night experiences for when your temporary coping lifts the nighttime experience is still there. Instead look to the hills from whence cometh our help and keep your eyes on God. Trouble doesn't last always!
Nighttime was created to create chaos, kill and destroy. Joy is already here so stop wallowing in your nighttime and enjoy your joy.Walk in the power of the Holy Ghost even if you walk alone! It's morning time so rejoice!
Do you know who you are? Do you know whose you are? Go be who God called you to be.
