"And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship, Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved." Acts 27:30-31
I may not have the whole ship, but I'm going to make it on a broken piece. The days that we live in, trial after trial, test after test, tribulation after tribulation, are getting shorter and shorter. Set your goals on the seas of life, but now you find yourself on broken pieces. The good new is that we are all still able to make it on those broken pieces.
If you have your spiritual eyes on, this was always about the will of God. God is still ALL powerful. God is showing us that right will always prevail over wrong, good over evil. God is still God. God will always stand in the midst. Just stay on the ship, don't get off your broken piece. I don't need the whole boat just give me a piece. Christ the solid rock on which I stand, the rest is all sinking sand. If God is in it, we're bound to win.
You cannot put your faith in man, for man will fail you time after time. You have to put ALL your faith in God, for He will NEVER fail you!
If you want to know what's going on in the world just pick up the Word. Read the Word, study the Word, trust the Word.
Stop worrying about the wrong things. In fact, quit worrying and just start trusting God fully. Quit trying to be the pilot. Jesus is the pilot; let Him do His thing. Follow the pilot, He's in charge of the ship. It's time that we know our place.
Stay on the ship and quit trying to jump off the ship, just because you're on a broken piece. Many of us miss out on our blessing because we jump ship. Just stay on the ship and trust God!!
Get to the point where your heart is fixed and your mind i made up that as long as you hold on to this broken piece (Jesus) that you have everything will be alright. Will you trust Him and hold onto your broken piece?
We all start out on the whole ship, but after encounters with the devil, pieces of the ship are taken away. He (the devil) is trying to destroy and devour our ship (relationship with God) Are you strong enough to hold on to and build up your broken pieces of your ship? Don't give up just hold on to your broken pieces.
Don't worry about the storms of life, just hold onto God! As long a you have your piece, you are going to make it! I don't know about you, but I am going to trust God my whole life.
Despite the storms that may come, just by holding onto your piece you place your faith within you that your broken piece is strong enough to make it and that you will make it!
An example of someone who chose to hold onto their broken piece is the story of the woman from the Bible who was not worthy to sit at the table with Jesus and His disciples. She said that even the dogs will sit at their master's feet for the crumbs. She knew that even a crumb was just as valuable as the whole plate. What about you? Do you value your broken piece as much as the whole ship?
