"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will replay," says the Lord. On the contrary: If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:9-21
Paul cared deeply for the church. He wrote this love story to the church while he was bent over in a jail cell. He dictated the letter to one of the guards to be written. God gave him the true essence of what it means to be a Christian. Paul was a living sacrifice.
You must sincerely love one another! It is time for our love to be sincere and be responsible for one another. When we love others, is our love sincere, without expectations, without conditions and unconditional? Or is our love full of various conditions? If it is, then this is not real love. This is certainly not the type of love that God wants of His children.
We are to hate what is evil-do not be a part of evil doings. When you see evil coming, run the other way! Honor others above yourself. Never be lacking in zeal. Don't just be excited for the Lord when things are good but also when you are going through. Keep your spiritual fervor.
Do not base your relationship with God on other people. People use this as an excuse to stay where they are in God. If you are a child of God, you are held to a higher standard than other people. We all have to be accountable for our actions. If you die and go to hell, it is no one's fault but your own. Now is the time for you to do something to prevent it.
Stop licking that affliction and laying there; but pick it up and do something about it. Keep pushing through with God. Quit making excuses to stay where you are. It's time to get up from your afflictions, your situations and live life for God!
Christian hospitality differs from social entertaining. In entertaining the focus is on the host but in hospitality the focus is on the guest and their needs. In your Christian life you should always be focusing on the needs of others rather than yourself.
"Then Jesus came to them and said, " All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely i am with you always, to the very end of the age."" Matthew 28: 18-20
BLESS THOSE WHO PERSECUTE YOU! If someone persecutes you or is unkind to you do not return their behavior with more evil instead treat them kindly and with love. The old saying is true, kill them with kindness.
Stop giving your enemy your power, keep it for yourself. Stop allowing the past to hold you prisoner. It's past-it's over! Let things go and stop harboring them! Let go and let God!
When God sees that you appreciate what you have He will give you double for your trouble.
